    Dr. Tracy performs hammertoe repair both in the office and at Gulf Pointe Surgery Center. From simply transecting a tendon to joint fusion and reduction of dislocated joints, Dr. Tracy utilizes many techniques for this delicate surgery.

    Surgical Services

    Dr. Tracy is Charlotte Counties most experienced Board Certified Foot Surgeon. Dr, Tracy is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, the only surgical board recognized by the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Tracy has continued his education since his residency in reconstructive foot surgery by attending numerous hands-on seminars and lectures.

    Dr. Tracy has re-certified twice with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and remains committed to surgical excellence.


    Bunionectomy

    Dr. Tracy performs most bunionectomies on an outpatient basis at Gulf Pointe Surgery center. Dr. Tracy evaluates every patient carefully and recommends the most appropriate procedure based on lifestyle and degree of deformity. From simple to complex and revision surgery, Dr. Tracy is proud to offer the latest techniques. Dr. Tracy performs the following bunionectomies; Austin/Akin, Joint Fusion, Joint Replacement, Keller, Lapidus, McBride, Opening and Closing Base Wedge.

    Plantar Fasciitis

    Dr. Tracy performs endoscopic release of the plantar fascia for recalcitrant heel pain due to heel spurs and plantar fascitiis at Gulf Pointe Surgery center. Endoscopic plantar fasciotomy is performed utilizing a 6mm arthroscope and two 7mm incisions, each closed with one stich. Patients can typically return to tennis shoes and limited weight bearing in 5 days

    Skin Cancer

    Surgery is the primary treatment for most skin cancers. Dr. Tracy will typically perform skin cancer surgery to remove a localized skin cancer. In general, the skin cancer cells are removed along with a small amount of surrounding normal skin (known as the margin). This minor surgery is often performed using only a local anesthetic.

    Neuroma

    Morton's neuroma is a painful enlargement of the nerve on the ball of the foot at the base of the toes. For those patient's where conservative treatments have failed, surgical resection of the nerve may be indicated. Dr. Tracy performs excision of Morton's neuroma at Gulf Pointe Surgical Center.

    Joint Fusions

    Dr. Tracy performs simple and complex joint fusions for various foot deformities. For severe arthritis and flatfoot reconstruction, fusion techniques restore the position of the joint while preventing recurrence. Dr. Tracy utilizes a variety of fixation techniques which are tailored to the patient and specific anatomy.
